Silhouettes
They're all the rage, right? Yes, I was dying to make some of my own. I used the method that Linda from Restyled Home (have I told you how much I LOVE that blog?) uses.
I've had a few small silhouettes around the house (like one of my dog), but now that we have a daughter I wanted to do family silhouettes.
So I spray painted some silver and gold frames I had light pink, cut out the silhouettes, and then when I was done I decided to add black bows to the frames purely on a whim. They lean against my piano keys (we don't play) in the dining room quite lovely.
I've also made silhouettes before using patterened scrapbook paper, which can be fun compared to the traditional black and white version.

Wow!! Love them!! I am so glad to see yours, and I LOVE the idea of using patterned scrapbooking paper! Now you've taught me something (although by the looks of your previous silhouettes, you didn't need my instructions at all)!!
ReplyDeleteThey look so cute with the bow. Oh, and I love how you thought to use contrasting scrapbook paper instead of black paper. That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteLark & Lola love hearing from you!
