* Holiday GIVEAWAY Bundle! *
I'd like to host a small giveaway with good intentions - to encourage you all to buy handmade & from local small businesses this holiday season. With the economy in a rut, one way we can all help boost it is by supporting crafters & entrepreneurs instead of big corporations. This giveaway is specifically aimed at those who are willing to consider actively buying handmade & supporting small businesses this Christmas.
The GIVEAWAY bundle itself includes:
* 2 Lark & Lola handcrafted rosette Christmas ornaments {made with real antique sheet music, winner will receive two ornaments like those shown above - picked for you, but they're all lovely}
* 1 package handmade Christmas gift tags {package includes 9 tags, all featuring a different holiday image from antique postcards, and strung on vintage-esque seam binding ribbon}
* 1 Christmas themed "NOËL" garland! {green & red & lovely! see www.larkandlola.com to view some of our handmade garlands - they are our best selling crafts!}
The giveaway value is $36!
To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment at the end of this post promising to make a conscious effort to buy handmade & from small businesses this holiday season!
If you want a SECOND entry, go take the Buy Handmade pledge {http://www.buyhandmade.org/}, and return to leave a second comment here telling us you have done so.
If you'd like a THIRD entry, post on your Facebook or Twitter page about the Buy Handmade pledge and how everyone can help stimulate the economy this season! Then come back, and leave a third comment.
Giveaway ends at midnight (mountain time!) this Friday the 12th, the winner will be randomly selected and announced Saturday morning.
Good luck & thanks for helping me support this cause!

ReplyDeleteNot only will I BUY handmade, I'll make hand made too :) Feels good.
ReplyDeleteI made a pact with my husband that any of our purchased holiday gifts have to come from our neighborhood (Cooper-Young in Memphis, TN) in order to support the local small businesses. I will be hand-making all other gifts.
ReplyDeleteYes please! I always try to buy handmade gifts, mostly from you and Karen, but I like the idea of getting all my presents from that type of business. Do you know someone who can hand-make a Kindle? Just kidding. I still want to win these!
ReplyDeleteI will make a real effort to buy homemade this season! I will need a reminder LOL!! Your work is so beautiful I would do anything to win!!
ReplyDeleteI took the pledge a long time ago! Love your things, please keep us posted on upcoming shows!

ReplyDeleteHi there! I did all of this yesterday and tried to do all this on my phone but it didn't work!
ReplyDeleteI will make an effort to keep buying handmade...1. because I have so many talented friends and I love supporting them. 2. because I just cannot help myself!
I think it's a fantastic idea. I'd much rather buy handmade and support our local artisans, so am always happy to buy handmade and from small businesses. Love your things and hope to be able to win any of your lovely creations. :)

I love the reason behind this giveaway. Even if i don't win ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a lover of all things handmade on Etsy and while all of my purchases aren't necessarily "local" in terms of where I live, I still love the sense of community when buying from Etsy and supporting artists who are following their bliss! Great giveaway,

I promise to buy handmade and shop local! I work at a small toy store that sells a lot of locally made products, and it's so great to hear that people love to shop there for that reason.

I took the pledge a long time ago and only shop local. My car is 11 years old and only has 26,000 miles on it!
ReplyDeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteThis year I'm making recycled ornaments, and trying to make all my gifts personalized this year. I'm even making an attempt to make that suitcase side-table!
I've loved going to craft fairs since I was little. It is something I really loved and always will. I encourage others to take their little ones out too! You may be surprised at how much they love it.
Thanks for blogging, and thanks to all the people who comment! Makes me feel less like a 90-year old lady, and more like the 19 year old craft lover I am.
I took the pledge, and now I'm going to encourage all my friends to do the same via facebook!
ReplyDeleteGosh, just so much more stoked on making more ornaments now. :)
I promise, and I also promise to make more gifts this year! I'm one step closer just by thinking about gifts in November. Handmade takes a little time, not conducive to my tendency to last minute panic shop...

I took the pledge! This is motivating!
ReplyDeleteLeannehughes44 at gmail dot com
I posted the link to my facebook-I hope others are just as motivated too!
