Friends & Finds @ Paris Street Christmas!

This past weekend was A Paris Street Christmas {Rue de Noel!} show. It was the end to the 2009 Paris Street Season - as I call it - and so I thought I'd post on what a good time I had, the friends I've made, and some pretty things I found.

I was fortunate to be neighbors with Denise, who owns a jewelry business called Babes & Hussies. She was kind enough to do a trade with me for some newsboy style hats {just like I've wanted for sooo long!} in exchange for ornaments & things from my booth!

Do you like teal velvet or brown tweed better? I can't decide...
Did you notice the beautiful jewelry? These gorgeous necklaces are from Blissful Baubles. Julie & Mary, who make these wonderful pieces, gifted me with these necklaces! I couldn't believe it, it was so sweet and unexpected, but after wearing some for the day during the market, they insisted I keep them. I love them! I tried to pay them but they insisted I just "pay it forward" instead. I will do just that! Thanks ladies!
Finally, the one thing I did actually buy was this set of 8 carnival glass mugs. I saw them and instantly pictured my family at Christmas, sipping wassail out of them.

Or hot cocoa with marshmallows. So I couldn't pass them up. I love their iridescent shine.
And here's a list of a few other people I've had the pleasure of getting to know through the market. I've just had the best time this year doing the show, everyone has been so wonderful to work with!

  • Tim & Sandi of Vandel Antiques. They actually run the show. Wonderful people to work with.
  • Beth Moore of Chic Junque. She owns a shop in Castle Rock, CO and if you're ever passing through you MUST visit The Barn.
  • Claire Roberts, also has a shop at The Barn, and actually carries a few of my Lark & Lola crafts! Her style is delightfully fresh, unique & cozy. Her business is called Coming Home.
  • Kara Rosenberry has an adorable card business. She didn't do Paris Street this year, but she did visit me a few times and now I'm noticing her cards showing up in many Denver area boutiques!
Looking forward to next year & new shows! I'll keep everyone posted on any news...

Cheers!
