Lark & Lola

Have you noticed the latest craze, the bed-bench? People are taking wood head & foot boards from beds and turning them into benches! As soon as I saw this project I knew I wanted to do it, and the very large porch of our home was screaming for some furniture.
My husband was able to do this in just a few hours. Basically, you cut the foot board in half and that makes the arm rests. Attach it to the head board, and then all that's left is creating the seat! {And, of course, a coat of paint if you so desire. We most certainly did. This color is "Saxon" from Ace Hardware.}
It really does make the most lovely addition to the porch now! It's been there just over a week, and we've already gotten so many compliments from neighbors. I am embarrassed, however, that we haven't gotten around to getting finials on those posts... then it will be perfect.
