As I posted the other day, I've had the worst time finding a daily planner I like. And yes, it is a big deal to me! Finally I got this Franklin Covey at Target for $6, and when I got it home, I just had to
do something to it. It was so blah.
I started with stamping on the front. It was supposed to just say "Heather's Planner" but I ran out of room doing my name and so I had to improvise. Kinda nerdy, but no one will mistake it for an address book!

I added a ribbon and bird charm to add a little pretty. On the inside, I used scrap booking tapes and things to spice it up a bit. I also created tabs for the months using tape that had a map print.

Birthdays and anniversaries get a festive stamp so the day stands out.

The blah planner lacked storage, so I glued an envelope to the back page to hold any receipts or papers I need to hold onto.

Pages from old books that have fallen apart have found new life on the inside covers.

I like it! I spent so much time searching stores for a pretty one, now I wish I'd thought to just decorate my own a long time ago...
SO cute, I think I'll just have to make myself one now! Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteI love it, looks great! That color is so pretty with the brown =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a total transformation! I so know what you mean about having to have a good planner. I'm so picky about them.
