My Altered Book

I'd heard about altered books before, but what really got me interested in trying it was when I read a very unique fiction called Journal: The Short Life and Mysterious Death of Amy Zoe Mason. (I *strongly* recommend you pick up a copy to read, it's so much fun!) The book is a mystery in the form of a woman's altered book/journal. I loved reading through it so much and search for clues, I just had to recreate the same beauty for myself.

So I found an old book, falling apart and worth very little, and gave is some sweet lovin' via crafting. With the art of altering books, you can do anything you want from cutting out pages, drilling holes, gluing, painting, ANYthing to the pages. The results are often very pretty or just plain fun to look at. My book it barely started, I have lots of pages to do. But whenever I'm bored or stressed, I love to sit down at my crafting desk and just go at it. I grab whatever I can find and "do" a page or two in my altered book.
